Celebrating Chinese New Year

We would like to thank Mrs. Davenport (Libby's mom) for coming into our classroom to celebrate Chinese New Year with us.   We had fun reading a story about various Chinese customs.   Afterwards, the kids had the opportunity to make Chinese lanterns and eat clementines for good health and prosperity in the New Year!   The students were then able to bring home Chinese "red envelopes" filled with fortune cookies and chocolate coins.    What a fun time!

  1. Happy Chinese New Year everyone! Was anyone born in the Year of the Snake?

What a great way to learn about the culture!
